Privacy policy

Effective July 22, 2026

Chartroom is a curriculum-design workspace for teachers. This page explains what data Chartroom handles and how. The short version: your account basics, the curriculum you write, nothing about your students — and we never sell any of it.

What we collect

Student data

Chartroom is for curriculum and lesson design, not student records. Please do not enter student names, IDs, rosters, grades, attendance, IEP/504 details, or other student-specific information. Chartroom has no student accounts and no student-facing features, and we design the product so you never need to put student data in it.

AI features

Compass, Chartroom’s planning assistant, sends the relevant unit content to Anthropic’s API from our servers to generate its responses. Chartroom does not log the content of these exchanges, and they are processed under commercial API terms that do not use your content to train AI models. AI features are optional — you can design a full unit without ever using them.

Who else touches the data

Chartroom runs on a small set of service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Google (sign-in), and Anthropic (AI responses). They process data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising — ever.

Sharing and visibility

Your units are private to you unless you invite a collaborator or share a link. Collaborators see the units you share with them, with the role you grant.

Retention and deletion

We keep your content while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, email us and we will remove it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Questions or deletion requests: glenmeinsch@gmail.com.
